As its common name "Flowering cabbage" tells, this is not flower but vegetable.
But, the leaf that comes in succession and the color gradation are beautiful like flower.
In Japan, many homes decorate the entrance and garden with this plant in new year's day.
Common name in Japan is leaf peony.
